What to Expect in Therapy with Me

You might notice yourself caught in patterns that no longer serve you—overreacting, shutting down, or trying to stay in control—only to feel stuck or overwhelmed. Maybe you get easily triggered or find it hard to regulate big emotions, even when you understand what’s happening. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel safe, and begin making sense of what’s happening beneath the surface.

I work from the belief that your emotions, patterns, and even your defenses make sense in the context of what you’ve lived through—and that they’ve helped you survive in ways that deserve compassion, not judgment. Together, we’ll explore these inner experiences with curiosity and care, helping you move beyond survival mode and reconnect with your body’s natural rhythm.

My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy with nervous system regulation work. Through IFS, we’ll get to know the different “parts” within you—each with its own voice and role—while building the capacity to stay present with emotion and find balance from within.

In our work together, we might explore old beliefs, sensory or relational needs, or boundaries that support you as you build capacity. My intention is to assist you in deepening self-awareness, releasing what no longer serves you, and creating a life that feels authentic, grounded, and sustainable.

I bring presence, empathy, and a balance of gentleness and honesty. I hold space for complexity, offer reflections when helpful, and prioritize connection over critique. I believe healing isn’t about getting rid of parts of yourself—it’s about developing a new relationship with what’s there, and building the capacity to integrate those parts into wisdom, resilience, and nervous system flexibility.

A Little Bit About Myself

I’m a queer, cis woman and trauma-informed therapist who helps adults navigate burnout, identity, and the pressure to keep it all together. My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection—with self, body, and community.

If you're craving a space to feel seen, supported, and more fully you, I’d love to share more about who I am and how I work.

Land Acknowledgement

I acknowledge that I live and work on the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples, and that this land is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. Toronto is situated on Treaty 13 territory, signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit. I also recognize the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge of Indigenous communities who continue to care for this land. As a therapist, I recognize the ongoing impacts of colonization, intergenerational trauma, and systemic injustice. I am committed to continued learning, reflection, and supporting practices that honour Indigenous sovereignty, well-being, and healing.
