A bit about me

Hi, I’m Dominika—a queer, cis woman and trauma-informed therapist helping adults navigate burnout, anxiety, identity, and meaningful change.

I provide relational, culturally responsive, and LGBTQ+ affirming therapy rooted in the belief that healing happens through connection—with self, body, and community.

As a queer person, I know what it’s like to move through the world holding parts of yourself that haven’t always been welcomed, understood, or reflected back. That lived experience shapes how I show up as a therapist—with deep respect for complexity, nuance, and the courage it takes to be fully seen.

It helps me hold space for the unspoken, the in-between, and the questions that don’t always have tidy answers. My approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, and nervous system awareness, offering space for both emotional and embodied healing.

I spent 15 years working in a mission-driven nonprofit before becoming a therapist, where I supported a diverse team toward values-aligned impact. That background shaped how I understand transformation—not just as personal insight, but as something built through connection, self-leadership, and breaking through the systems we are entrenched in.

As an immigrant and someone who has navigated many transitions, I know what it means to adapt, hold multiple identities, and build community from the ground up. I bring this lived wisdom into the therapy room—with cultural humility, compassion, and deep respect for your inner resilience.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and am a CRPO Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).

Outside the Therapy Room

When I’m not working, I’m grounded by both nature and community. I love rock climbing, being on the water in any form, and practicing yoga. I find a deep sense of calm in being near trees, water, or wide open sky.

That being said, the city is where my heart is—with friends, family, and community.
